I found frozen scallops from the freezer compartment at Utama Grand - there are 14 pieces in each pack, they look very fresh and cost $10.20/pack. I bought one to try and was very pleasantly surprised to find that they are as fresh as they look. Once thawed, they smell clean and 'of the sea'. I marinated them very simply with a pinch of salt, some black pepper and a drizzle of olive oil.
Place on BBQ for about 4/5 minutes - discard water built up on the shell, turn over, and BBQ for another 3 minutes or so.

Serve IMMEDIATELY - we simply could not wait and ate them right there and then by the kitchen sink.
