Sunday, 21st Jan 2007

We went to a birthday party today.

Look at the food:

There was:

1. Chicken Beryani

2. Beef Curry

3. Acar

4. Roast Duck

5. Soya Sauce Chicken

6. Prawn Salad

7. Roast Pork

8. Mixed vegetables (fried with garlic and home-made chicken broth & oyster sauce)

9. Noodles

10. Fried Fish

11. Cabbage, carrot, long beans, fish balls, bean curd stick & rice vermicelli in light coconut gravy. (Lodeh)

Nos. 1 to 7 were shop bought, whilst the rest were home cooked by the hostess.
Finally, fruits.

AB - I remembered your advice and took the pics of the pineapple and grapes without flash - good?

And 3 birthday cakes....

Any wonder why this was my dinner that evening?

You must have incredible willpower, woman! I have been away from "homefood" for so long - my mouth was watering.

Hello K-E. That's a very typical home party in a certain house in Seria! E. p.s. I did eat during the lunch party but had grapes only that evening as I was still full from lunch.

That's the chocolate crunch cake from Empire isn't it?? That's soooooooooo sinful! You should try their carob cake too...

Hi T - the 79th cake was baked by a relative of the family - a professional baker. The cake tasted wonderful - with high quality choc and ingredients. He takes orders but only problem is, he lives in Miri!
