Happy Birthday Dom - 18 today!

A home assembled ice-cream cake.
First layer : Crushed Oreo cookies
Second layer : Ben & Jerry's Choc Fudge Ice-Cream
Third layer : Cadbury's Mint Choc with Mint ripple Ice-cream
Fourth layer : Ben & Jerry's Vanilla Ice-cream

Covered with a thick layer of Swiss bittersweet chocolate................
Assembled and designed by his mum, Wm.

Wow, Mr K-E wants this for his birthday! How do you make it? Do you make it all in a bowl upside down? But how do you get it out? Maybe you can do a step by step post when you have time? :) Katie-Ella

Looks nice. I actually like my ice-cream cakes to have some cake in it, like Birdseye's Arctic Rol

Hi Katie-Ella - my sis made this for her beloved son; my nephew. She's going to make it again for Hazel's birthday soon. She made it in cake tin lined with clingwrap and just pulled it out when it was all frozen together. Top layer in bottom of tin (vanilla, then mint/choc, then choc and lastly the crushed oreos). Then tip upside down and cover completely with melted choc. It took 3 days! Hello DBS - agree - I would have liked the cake to have a sponge cake top, bottom and sides, covered with fresh cream...... E.
